“EBB in DECAY" 24''X30''

A dance between the rough, rusty world and the fluid, flowing world. The rust representing the passage of time and the inevitable decay that comes with it. It symbolizes the challenges and hardships we face in life and the water represents renewal, growth, and the ability to overcome those challenges.
Like rust on metal, life leaves a mark on us, it’s the presence of water that helps us heal and move forward. The balance between the two elements, reminds us to embrace the challenges we encounter and find strength in overcoming them.

Newspapers and news symbolize the constant influx of information and how it shapes our perception of the world as well as how we experience the flow of time.

I took existing content and transformed it into new visual narratives.

The positioning of the eye stares alongside the cut-out news articles creates intriguing and provocative connections and invites the viewer to interpret their own stories and to challenge traditional notion of news by questioning narratives.

"TOURIST" 18"x24"

Perfect strangers, It may seem like we share nothing in common, Except that  we are moving in the same direction just headed towards different destinations.

I remember when I was young I had a bad habit of chewing buttons off my t-shirts whenever I felt stressed or idle. And the next time, I would pick up the same T-shirt to wear it by a miracle there had been new buttons sewn on the shirt. Of course, this was no miracle, it was my grandmother who had sewn the buttons. This  was her way of expressing love indirectly only through action, something she did for many people and a lesson I learnt from her.

"MOTHER NATURED"

Our primal need to survive has constructed routines that keep us trapped indoors, away from nature. But our bodies belong to mother nature, and they came from and shall return to her in the end.

"Per Aspera Ad Astra"

Every day we experience changes, and some of these changes are new people or new things entering our lives. Introducing new energies that flow and make us feel whole while others strive to work against us when they are out of control. But it is these experiences that shape us into the new extensive individuals we become.

UNTITILED  18" X 24"

That feeling when the day is upon you but your glued to the bed, dreaming stuck in a reality of your creation. Time becomes non-existent and so are you. According to writer  Robert Lawrence Kuhn “At the deepest foundations of nature, time is not primitive, it is an irreducible element or concept required to construct reality.”

Found objects, those that hold sentimental values or personal attachment and by repetition and alteration they are metamorphed into one subject that holds a specific representation and/or is aesthetically ideal
